Dignity is not negotiable.
Every person deserves to move through their community with safety, voice, and the full protection of their rights.
About MLPV-NAACP
The Mainland–Pleasantville NAACP Branch is part of a movement with deep roots and a clear horizon: equity, political rights, and social inclusion for all.
1961
The year this local chapter was established.
We are a 501(c)(4) civil rights and advocacy organization operating as a local chapter of the NAACP New Jersey State Conference. That local connection matters: it keeps the work close to the people and places it is meant to serve.
Our work is guided by the NAACP mission to advance policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and improve the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.
What we believe
Every person deserves to move through their community with safety, voice, and the full protection of their rights.
Change lasts when people understand the stakes, build power together, and stay engaged beyond a single moment.
Neighbors know where systems are falling short. Their experience belongs at the center of the conversation.
Anyone who wants to be part of justice has a role to play in building a more equitable future.
